Bridge Tech 2009 to be held in Shanghai, China
Co-organized by Jiangsu Transportation Research Institute and Global Leaders Institute, Endorsed by Association of French Civil Engineering (I'AFGC) and Association of Consulting Engineers of Hong Kong (ACEHK), Bridge Tech 2009 will take place from 2nd to 4th of December 2009 at InterContinental Pudong Hotel in Shanghai, China.
Facing the financial crisis, China's central government has invested RMB 4 trillion into the infrastructure sector, with the aim of stimulating domestic demand for the stable annually economic growth. By the end of 2009, China will undertake 52 new bridge construction projects, with a total investment of up to RMB 120 billion. Meanwhile, Xiaochong Zhang, the director of International Cooperation Department, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) expressed that NDRC has been and will continue to be happy to assist foreign companies to enter the China market. In a word, under the huge financial support and the rapid technology innovations of new built bridges such as Sutong Bridge and Hangzhou Bay Bridge, China has become the largest bridge market in the word.
